Clinical and Play Therapy Supervision

Carol Sepulveda, LCSW-S, RPT-S is licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners and holds the status of Supervisor.  She is also certified as a Supervisor by the Association for Play Therapy.  Mrs. Sepulveda enjoys sharing her years of experience and Social Work wisdom with Social Workers who are preparing for their clinical exam and/or clinicians wanting a certification in Play Therapy.

Mrs. Sepulveda uses an Integrated Developmental Model in supervision. The purpose of supervision being to advance through a series of stages of professional development by expanding competence, knowledge and skills. Supervision for the LCSW consists of discussing ethical issues that impact our profession, case consultation, transference and application of theory. Mrs. Sepulveda strives to prepare you to be the best clinician you can be focusing  on what Brigid Proctor (2008) calls the Four C’s of supervision: increasing confidence, competence, compassion and creativity.

Play Therapy supervision involves learning about the practice of Child Centered Play Therapy.  This is a more interactive and playful experience for the supervisee as well as the supervisor.  The focus is on theory, demonstration, practice and observation.

Mrs. Sepulveda’s sessions are in two hour blocks twice a month, meeting the licensing board’s four hour a month requirement.  The fee for an individual session is $75.00 an hour and $50.00 an hour for group.  Please feel free to contact me to schedule a free thirty minute meeting to see if I can meet your supervision needs.
